Description: The Sales Representative position exists to support and compliment the Market Segment Manager position by driving "New Sales" into the company across all three primary markets. The Sales Representative typicallly works in an established geography, but will also be asked to work outside of a given territory as deemed necessary and strategic by the Director of Sales. Theis position exists primarily to find and close new business, and secondarily to assist in the maintenance of strategic house accounts as assigned by the Director of Sales.. Develop & execute effective business opening and closing strategies (Target Account Program)...Mainntain strategic house accounts as assigned... Assist Market Segment Managers as
directed...Accurately forecast and develop annual sales budgets... Submit Lab Requests as needed to develop new business ... Follow up on lab projects and orders as needed to ensure total customer satisfaction... Coordinate field trials aimed at improving Craigs overall position in the marketplace... Address customer complaints both interally and externally as necessary... Complete weekly sales activity report... Conduct monthly consignment counts where necessary.......EXTENT OF SUPERVISION RECIEVED:: This position is expected to function independently by design... The Sales Representative has the freedom to make decisions that comply with approved company procedures that result in increased customer satisfaction and new business development. The sales Rep is required to keep his supervisor informed and involved with all key decisions and activities that require changes to the status quo that are both offensive and devensive in nature... All pricing decisions require managerial approval prior to making commitments to the customer.. The Sales Rep is expected to discuss all business develoment and maintenance activities with their supervisor as a means to develop a different perspective, based on varying experience levels, while enlisting assistance when needed...ADDITIONAL SKILLS REQUIRED: A genera knowledge of computers is needed to perform daily functions like e-mail.. Proficiencey in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint is desired.. Time management, good follow up and organizational skills are important attributes for this position, as is an above average work ethic..
