Description: Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering and Development, the Senior R&D Engineer will be fully responsible for broad categories of work within the development portfolio. Includes designing devices and/or sub-assemblies, choosing vendors, building prototypes, creating and executing test plans, verifying and validating results, and other tasks as needed to bring world class, innovative products to market.
Design -- understand and refine design inputs, meet the inputs, select and test the optimal solutions
Planning -- determine and then adhere to development timelines
Problem Solving -- apply high levels of creativity and innovation
Results orientation -- create value for the company by meeting goals
Communication -- interact effectively with vendors, co-workers, etc. both orally and in writing; document development activities in accordance with procedures; create procedures as needed

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent
8+ years experience in medical device or closely related industry. Familiarity with design control practices, 510(k) requirements, and related regulations.
SolidWorks experience preferred
