Summary Field Support Technician will repair, and perform corrective and scheduled maintenance on X-ray equipment, Radiation Portal Monitoring systems, other HTEE equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position . Perform periodic and scheduled maintenance on HTEE at assigned regional locations or as assigned. . Provide on-call response for unscheduled repair of failures or malfunctions. . Coordinate with local vendors for support on HTEE repairs. . Assess HTEE operation status & training requirements during Port visits. . Control various schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals. . Enter equipment repair data in database and generate invoices. . Verify repair reason and determine if Enforcement Technology Program or vendor should accomplish repair action. . Perform quality assurance for Enforcement Technology Program and vendor repaired equipment. . Maintain, track and perform monthly inventory of spare parts, tools and GFE. . Troubleshoot X-ray test bed to diagnose effect of manufacturer-implemented modifications. . Perform radiation surveys on HTEE. . Provide technical support, as required, to other Field Support Technicians. . May provide HTEE technical assistance via telephone. . May respond to the Enforcement technology Program Help Line, enters calls into database and notify Field Support Technician/vendor of maintenance request. . Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management. Supervision NONE Minimum Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Associates degree from accredited college or university in electronics or related technical field desired. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. ? 3+ years related maintenance and troubleshooting with electro-mechanical repairs. . Must have proven meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, good organizational skills and ability to self-direct and prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. ? Demonstrated ability to adapt easily and comprehend complex electro-mechanical systems. Computer Skills . Microsoft Word and Excel at intermediate level. . Instrumentation-vendor software. Clearance, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations . Treasury BI . Valid drivers license .
