Description: Job Title:District Manager Job City: Newark Job State: NJ Region: Northeast Region Division: NER Duration: Full Time Travel: 75%% - 99%% Job ID: 839 Job Description: Job Summary: Provides support to dealerships in assigned market area to maximize new vehicle sales, profitability and customer satisfaction. Coordinates and assists in sales, training, advertising and implementation of market representation activities. Essential Duties: ? Produces revenue through wholesale sales of new vehicles, Certified Pre-Owned vehicles, accessories, extended warranties, and promotion materials to franchised dealerships. Assists dealers in selecting appropriate inventory level and vehicle mix. ? Identifies dealerships? financial and operational deficiencies and make recommendations to dealer management for improved performance, including sales pay plans, processes, etc. ? Ensures dealers adhere to franchise operating standards and takes corrective actions to improve Mazdas market representation. ? Assists dealers in developing advertising and merchandising strategies to effectively promote and sell Mazda vehicles. ? Inform dealers on new products, product and company developments, incentives and promotions. ? Develops and conducts retail sales process and product knowledge training. Trains dealership personnel in effective customer relations techniques and e-commerce. ? Coordinates local trade shows, auto shows, and promotional events. ? Assists region staff management with dealer terminations, appointments and buy/sells. ? Prepares reports detailing progress of each dealer and competitive market information ? Conducts annual Dealer Business Review process with each dealer. Identified objectives, timelines, and recommended actions.

Skill Requirements: Qualifications: ? Bachelors degree in business administration, automotive technology, marketing, or related discipline preferred (or equivalent experience) ? 3-5 years related experience in the Automotive Industry ? Ability to plan, organize, and manage assigned district ? Car dealership operations background a must ? Knowledge of basic automotive technology ? Sales methods, principles and techniques ? Knowledge of accounting and finance related to analyzing and interpreting financial statements and market analyses, preferred. ? Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing ? Establish and maintain effective relationships with dealers, staff and senior management ? Computer knowledge including spreadsheet and internet applications
