Description: 250978 Job Title: CIB VRTC Acct Exec Location: Newark,NJ, New Jersey United States Hrs/Wk: 40 Employment Type: Full-Time Job Description: This position may be filled anywhere within the Vertice Wholesale Mortgage footprint.

POSITION SUMMARY: Develops and maintains relationships with wholesale mortgage brokers for the purpose of originating and funding quality mortgage loans.

Sales Skills: Utilizes effective sales techniques when presenting to and communicating with current and prospective brokers in order to generate and maintain a book of business that yields the production necessary to meet and exceed productivity and quality goals.

The following are essential duties and responsibilities associated with effective selling: Identifies prospective customers using sourcing methods and strategies that AE has used successfully in the past and/or that are recommended by direct supervisor. Contacts prospective broker customers and successfully schedules an introductory meeting. Delivers formal presentations to both prospective and current broker customers, demonstrating effective sales techniques and using Vertices marketing and communication resources and tools. Meets with current brokers on a regular basis in pre-planned, scheduled meetings that have a specific objective. Prepares effectively for sales meetings and presentations. During sales meetings and presentations, uncovers brokers? needs and then matches Vertices loan products/programs and services to those needs, demonstrating that Vertices products and programs offer the value and benefits the broker seeks and that Vertice will provide excellent customer service. Effectively responds to brokers? objections during sales presentations so that brokers remain interested in doing business with Vertice. Differentiates Vertice from competitors (as perceived/identified by broker) by conducting oneself professionally during all interactions/communications with brokers and by communicating in a manner that demonstrates integrity and that conveys the value/benefits of transacting business with Vertice. During interactions with prospective and current brokers (meetings, phone calls, e-mail correspondence), as appropriate, confidently asks for the business (if a new broker, seeks to get broker application; if a current broker, seeks more production). Invites self to attend brokers? sales meetings in order to present a specific Vertice product/program. Ideally, works with brokers to determine the product to be presented to ensure product is one that will meet brokers? needs. Gathers and maintains pertinent broker account information. Creates and implements monthly marketing plan that supports branchs marketing plan/goals and that identifies target products/programs and target broker groups with specific brokers identified within the group. Where appropriate, expands current broker production to include production appropriate for all of Vertices business channels and sales strategies. Where appropriate, asks to shadow successful Account Executives in order to improve sales skills, learn new sales techniques, and/or learn how to market/sell a specific product or program. Advises direct supervisor of challenges selling Vertices products to brokers, offering solutions to those challenges.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: -3-5 years experience originating wholesale mortgage loans, producing a minimum of $5 million per month -Knowledge of residential loan production and conventional loan underwriting standards and procedures -Current experience with conforming and government products -Presentation skills, particularly ability to deliver effective sales presentations that present loan product/program features to mortgage brokers -Excellent client relations/customer service skills -Only candidates with a current, established broker account base will be considered for this opening.
