Description: Athletic Trainer Job Category: Healthcare Business Unit: 160 - On Site Patient Services Location: Newark NJ Job Type: Regular Employment Type: Per Diem Fri Jul 13 22:59:11 EDT 2007 Concentra is seeking to hire an Athletic Trainer for an on-site industrial healthcare program in Newark, NJ. This is a PRN evening shift position working as needed. The ATC will assist in administering specific injury prevention programs, provide first aid and acute injury assessment and treatment to employees. The ATC will be an integral member of the team responsible for reducing the frequency and severity of injuries and illnesses. The successful candidate will be ATC and have previous clinical and excellent customer service skills along with good computer skills. Previous experience in an industrial setting is preferred but not required. Concentra offers an excellent hourly salary. EOE. Basic responsibilities will be to provide first aid, assessment, acute care, return-to-work rehabilitation and triage of musculoskeletal injuries. Prevention services include ergonomic assessments and workstation modification, injury and illness prevention education and job coaching. The successful candidate will be ATC and have previous clinical and excellent customer service skills along with good computer skills. Previous experience in an industrial setting is preferred but not required.
