Description: Requisition Number 08-0196 Post Date 8/18/2008 Title Manager Terminal (L) City Linden State NJ Travel Required 5-10%% Description Manages the operation of more than one product terminal and related activities involving product handling, maintenance, quality control, safety, regulatory compliance, costs, and customer relations. Provides leadership vision, direction and values for terminal employees, setting the standard for individual performance and team work. Attends various industry meetings and seminars as may pertain to either the operational or marketing side of the local third party terminal environment. Manages operations and monitors scheduling of products for incoming and outgoing P/L carrying refined products. Provides oversight on major maintenance projects at terminals. Insures quality control is carried through in the loading and receipt of product. Ensures that proper safety procedures are carried out at the terminal and on the pipeline. Maintains accurate records and prepares required daily and monthly reports. Ensures that work schedules for subordinates are structured so that terminal and P&L operations are performed efficiently and cost effectively. Ensures that all terminal personnel receive proper job expectations, training, coaching, support, and feedback to develop the necessary competencies to perform their respective roles and responsibilities with excellence; and to continue growing their skills and contribution to achieving superior business objectives. Requirements Bachelors degree required. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Ten years experience in product terminal maintenance and operations required. Must be able to answer and respond to after hour calls (24 hours per day/7 days per week) required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft products to include Excel. Working knowledge of SAP preferred. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to independently proof work for accuracy. Ability to manage time, scheduling, multiple tasks and competing priorities to meet appropriate deadlines with quality performance. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work successfully in stressful situations with a variety of people at all levels in the organization as well as external stakeholders; including vendors, business partners, community members, regulatory and government personnel.
