Description: Position Title Director, Marketing, ex-US MFF Business Division Global Pharmaceutical Business Country U.S.A. Location NJ Kenilworth Job Description This Director will oversee the creation, development and management of the strategic business direction for MFF in the EUCAN/ex-US Regions. The position responsibilities will include leading and directing the product strategy and global tactical execution. The Director will be the leadership voice to the ex-US BU HEad/Brand Teams and partner with the Primary Care global cross-functional departments, i.e. Medical Marketing, Public Relations, etc. for execution of key strategic and tactical initiatives. Furthermore, the position will interface with SP R&D, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Health Economics and Manufacturing and play an important role on the Franchise Project Team. Major activities and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Strategy: - Undertake category, business and competitive assessment in order to hone-in on strategies and tactics that will fuel exceptional growth and profitability - Create winning strategic plans - Assess and prioritize key business initiatives in an environment of rapid growth - Partner with global teams to create global strategic and operational brand plans - Liaise with the other franchise regional market leads in order to "globalize" the brand approach to marketing initiatives Marketing & Branding: - Develop well-defined marketing strategies and comprehensive plans to successfully implement them in the EUCAN market - Lead agency relationships to create effective global promotional toolkits and public relations programs to drive revenue and market share growth - Build the Companys brand image in the eyes of the medical specialists/KOLs and patient advocacy groups through direct (Ad Boards/Summits/Symposium) and indirect (publication planning) initiatives - Impact lifecycle planning programs (e.g. line extensions, new dosages and formulations, etc.) - Shape the short, medium and long-term therapeutic area strategies - Assess and develop strategic insights from country submitted operating plans in order to consult with local markets and SP Management on how to better optimize the business - Commercialization and development processes including knowledge of basics of Market Research, Business Analytics and Sales Leadership: - Lead a high performance cross-functional team - Demonstrate strong bottom-line orientation with significant financial, budget and P&L experience - Work effectively with the ex-US in-market brand teams to ensure effective implementation of global marketing initiatives - Set priorities consistent with company goals and focuses on high priority opportunities - Allocate resources (e.g. time, dollars) consistent with priorities. Take appropriate action in conditions of uncertainty - Take steps to understand external customer and/or internal client needs and translate this knowledge into effective decisions Communication: - Build strong open and collaborative working relationships characterized by mutual respect with superiors, peers and subordinates within the organization, as well as outside - Communicate ideas to others and invite and consider input from others - Superior platform/presentation skills in front of senior management and SP in-market brand teams - Ability to motivate and infect people with passion for the brand - Appropriately, share own viewpoint and opinions, even when they may be negative or unpopular - Encourage the free exchange of information and opinion - Acknowledge the contributions of others and give appropriate credit - Create an environment that enhances balance between personal and professional life %% of Time: 20%% Planning - key issues, strategies, forecasts, etc. 35%% Developing global marketing materials, getting them communicated/executed 5%% Manufacturing forecasting - trade and samples 20%% Country communication/visits/RBT meetings 10%% Direct interaction with the customer (MDs, etc.,) via Ad Boards, etc. 3%% Managing/developing people 7%% Database analysis and segmentation

Minimal education required for this job Bachelors Degree -- Any Skills - BA/BS required; MBA preferred - 5-10 years experience in marketing/business management - Pharmaceutical marketing and sales a plus (domestic and international) - Strong leadership skills, strong interpersonal and people management skills - Preference for action versus reaction, ability to focus on important drivers of business versus tangents, strategic thinking skills and ability to present to and motivate large audiences - Capability for future career growth important Employment Type Regular Full- or Part-Time Full-Time Work Schedule Day Requisition I.D. 22447BR
