Perform complicated application installation and troubleshooting for Windows and Linux based products in both QA and production environments. Environments consist of Web servers, App Servers and DB servers. Mostly Windows with some Linux/Websphere. Strong technical leader who can take ownership of technical production problems involving various levels of client server applications. Review ADP ISO policies, Vision statement and the Quality Policy periodically, and understand ADPs commitment to excellent client service and continual improvement and conform to these policies and ADP principles at all times. Provide change management support for the Operations organization including notification and scheduling. Resolve conflicts that may result from multiple changes occurring to the same environment. Manage source code from the development organization including receiving, compiling, and securing source so it can be tracked and so that applications are reproducible. Provide 7x24 on call support. Provide Weekend coverage for changes. Large amount of weekend coverage required. QualificationsRequired (Experience, Skills, Academic): Bachelors degree or equivalent in education or work experience. 10 years work experience in data processing with focus on application development or systems assurance or quality assurance functions. Excellent consultative and communication skills, analytical ability, judgment and the ability to work effectively with end users and other systems technical staff in a 7x24 Financial processing environment. Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and familar with Linux operating environments. Capable of troubleshooting Windows server issues from general network to IIS problems. Must have some scripting back ground with the ability to do various file management and reporting tasks. Must be able to use SQL commands. Other skills: PVCS, SQL, scripting, Pearl, application packaging and programming experience are a big plus. Knowldege of IBM MQ, Sterling Commerce Connect Direct (NDM), Websphere, JBOSS and TWS helpful.
