Detailed Description ONLY INTERNAL APPLICANTS WILL BE ACCEPTED Technical Support Representatives The main focus of technical support is to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical related problems that customers report with the website and/or active trader platforms. Technical Support Representatives are expected to identify and resolve customer issues with the website and all brokerage products, voice browser, wireless platform, Market Caster, Market Trader and Etrade Pro. Troubleshooting examples include software compatibility, Java setup, website errors, connection slowness, operating system conflicts, spy ware/virus infections and web browser issues. The Tech Team also provides and advanced Level II support for customers having difficulty installing Etrade Pro and Market Trader on their system.

* Identifies issues, develops appropriate workarounds and report system problems. * Ensures resolution of complex issues while delivering the highest quality service to our customers by utilizing technical knowledge and experience; goes the "extra mile" * Adheres to the highest quality standards at all times while troubleshooting customer tech issues. * Researches and ensures follow-up on tech related issues with supervisors, developers, systems operations and product managers while seeing the customer through to final resolution of the problem. Job Requirements * Series 7 & 63 brokers license required * Demonstrates a high-degree of patience while walking customers through several different troubleshooting steps that may be required to resolve inquiries or issues. * Creative with the ability to think "outside the box" and properly direct customers through many different system configurations and installations. * Team player in a team environment; often requiring constant feedback and follow-up regarding system issues; involves gathering and accurate dissemination of information to team members in a professional, accurate and timely manner. * Willingness and flexibility to work additional overtime as business needs may require. * Ability to effectively walk customers through complex steps to resolve advanced technical issues. * Effectively relates to customers who may be "PC challenged" with the ability to guide them with the required technical steps and instructions in a clear, understanding and patient manner. * Sufficient technical knowledge to ensure problem solving, and the ability to resolve customer technical support needs independently while setting realistic expectations for a resolution.
