Description: The senior user experience designer will be responsible for the design and prototyping of compelling product interfaces that meet the needs of the user environment. The user experience designer leads and coordinates the design of the user interface by:



* Understanding and capturing target audiences* needs, jobs and goals


* Translating user needs into meaningful usability requirements and conceptual designs


* Creating user-interface prototypes


* Conducting usability testing


* Involving other stakeholders of the user interface, such as customers and product development teams, in user experience reviews


* Creating user-interface design specifications


* Supporting the user-interface implementations



Other responsibilities include:


* Stakeholder and user needs analysis


* Creating personas, user scenarios and job banks


* Guiding graphic designs


* Guiding and collaborating with an offshore usability team in user experience designs


* Contributing to the user experience framework, process and user-interface pattern library development


* Promoting the user-centered design process and methodologies in the organization



Qualifications:


* 5+ years UI design and Usability testing experience. Demonstrated skills in designing, prototyping, and documenting User Interfaces.


* Experience in working closely with Product Management, Development, QA, Visual Design, and Info Dev to drive the UI for optimum usability within tight development schedules.


* Knowledge and experience in software development cycle, technologies and enterprise application development


* Knowledge of UI development technologies


* Knowledge and experience in rich user interface designs


* Demonstrated skill in conducting all user data collection methodologies (e.g., contextual inquiry, usability testing, focus groups).


* Is comfortable with minimal direct supervision in dealing with complex issues of wide-ranging scope


* Advanced degrees in HCI, Human Factors, Psychology, Engineering, Cognitive Psychology or related discipline preferred


* Prototyping skills with DreamWeaver, Visio and PowerPoint is preferred


* Knowledge and experience in financial applications for portfolio accounting, financial reconciliation, brokerage operations management, performance reporting, financial planning
