Description: SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST Location: Jersey City,NJ Description: All applicants must have a minimum of 6 years IT Industry experience in order to apply. No 3rd party resumes accepted. Title: Senior Business Analyst Location: Jersey City, NJ Candidates MUST have minimum 5 years experience with Wall Street financial firms. . 6+ years of solid experience in working with Business Stakeholders at all levels to gather and document application requirements, produce project plans and communicate plans and progress to all levels of Business and Technology stakeholders. Experience in coordinating the above with 3rd-party application vendors is a STRONG plus. . Significant experience with coordinating efforts in a multi-application, integrated environment, across multiple business and technology groups. . Solid understanding of the Securities and Financial Services industries, from both the Front-Office Trading and Back-Office Operations and Accounting perspectives. . Strong experience in developing test plans and coordinating testing efforts of Business and Technology stakeholders. . Strong experience in working with and consolidating disparate data sources, and mapping them to target applications. Strong experience in identifying efficiencies in the processes surrounding the applications in use by the various lines of business. . Practical, hands-on experience with the Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Project. . Strong written and verbal communication skills . Strong understanding of software development life cycle and Release Management . Must be a team player Nice to have skills: . Detailed understanding of Accounting concepts G/L, Transactions, Journal Entries, etc., to be able to converse with Accountants in the context of the applications. . Experience with - or exposure to - SunGards Investran, The Next Rounds TNR, or another similar competing application. . Experience with rudimentary Structured Query Language (SQL) for data mining and analysis purposes. . Experience with - or exposure to - Mercurys Quality Center or competing Application Test suite.
