Global Transaction Services (GTS), a business unit of Citi Markets and Banking (CMB), is the leading provider of cash management, trade, and securities services, to financial institutions, corporate clients and the public sector around the world. With a global network spanning over 100 countries, GTS offers a broad range of cash management, treasury, trade, custody, clearing, depositary receipts and agency and trust services. The candidate will manage approximately: 6-20 FTEs, 1 system, 2-3 project leaders and lead the analysis and testing effort for this complex project spanning Product, Operations and Technology areas, providing tactical and managerial leadership / direction and business understanding for the project team, providing analytical perspective to the business throughout the SDLC process, coaching and mentoring end clients, and assist in specification development with external contractor companies while integrating and identifying synergies between internal Citigroup departments and external service providers.

Analytical Skills:Provide business perspective for project team, oversee and participate in data analysis and Technology Management:Conduct periodic code, project plan and testing reviews, assure quality standards are met, manage and communicate short-term strategic technology direction and expectations, coordinate production support activities Client Management:Advise client on all phases of project, ensure accuracy of the business requirements, solicit external approval for project estimates, financial budgets, and production turnover. Project Risk Management:Identify, analyze and respond to risk throughout the life of the project, minimize potential risks while maximizing potential opportunities, address compliance related application requirements (COB testing, audit, ACQs, RAS, etc) Resource Management:Provide financial oversight to ensure project is completed within the approved budget, allocation of Human Capital, strategically deploy staff to make the most effective use of the team’s resources, development of Human Capital, assist team members in defining their strengths and weaknesses, responsible for ensuring that training, mobility and diversity opportunities are present, conduct performance appraisals; drive performance management process. Project Administration:Utilize SDLC, establish the appropriate level of management control, determine scope of project(s) and develop realistic schedules and cost estimates to ensure timely completion of a project, accurately represent resources and time allocation to all phases of the project lifecycle, timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, storage, and disposition of project information. Customer Service:Provide courteous and professional service in the performance of assigned duties, provide assistance to customers in the form or informal training and coaching General Responsibilities. Rotation of off-hour, weekend and holiday support required, comply with all Citigroup policies and procedures, manage or participate in various projects as deemed appropriate by management, comply with all Citigroup security standards EXPECTED OUTCOMES Work within a professional team with successful (on time, on budget) project completion portfolio. Candidate will also act as the project manager for projects, initiatives and inquiries. Assist in the tracking and coordination of the project sometimes spanning multiple technology teams. Meet regularly with the area manager and the business users to review project status, analyze new requests and prioritize all business requirements. Ensure all CITMP, SDLC and audit requirements are satisfied.

Specifications / Qualifications - Degree or certification in computer science related field. - Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in information processing and managing people for financial services. - Technical experience with financial software, mainframe products and development, distributed technology (NT and UNIX based), internet delivery techniques (XML, JAVA, JSP, web based reporting, AJAX), messaging and connectivity (MQ, FTP secure e-mail) and relational databases (specifically DB2). - The ideal candidate will also have a multi-disciplinary desktop skill set encompassing Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the ability to organize and track complex projects.

Non-Technical Skills - Must have 5+ years experience in the financial industry or in requirements gathering and project tracking. - Ability to bridge business needs and technology development. - Must have excellent writing and verbal skills. - Candidate must demonstrate interpersonal skills and the passioned ability to influence, motivate and work with diverse teams; strong focus on control; quick learner; relationship builder and a team player. - Should demonstrate ability to work with vendors, consultants and external service providers.
