Description DEVELOPMENT: * Learn about the payment, cash management and foreign exchange (FX) processing industry including the industry-wide, high-growth remittance initiative * Expand on your current knowledge of the CitiTech Systems Development Lifecycle for a large scale, complex project. OVERVIEW: Global Payment Platform [GPP] is built for customers that require remittance/payment funds transfer across countries. GPP communicates with different manual and technological systems to ensure effective payment delivery to beneficiary. GPP currently provides remittance facility for 80 countries and having average transaction volume of 2 million per week. The remittance business is constantly growing and represents the way forward in term of cash management. The Citigroup GPP is the engine for remittance initiative. It is a 24x7 application with robust uptime, performance, and throughput requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Lead the design and implementation for the GPP application. * Interact with the operations, development team & UAT team EXPECTED OUTCOMES Near term success will be achieved upon the following results: * Ensure GPP application interface well with downstream/upstream applications/systems * Ensure system can support the expected transaction volume, with minimum performance issues and scalability issues * Ensure deliverables are complete per specifications with minimal defects. KEY CHALLENGES * Being engaged multinational project with participants in many countries and time-zones * Re-designing and reviewing system components while implementing business requirements * Contribute in keeping on track, given multiple priorities

Specifications / Qualifications CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will have the following minimum characteristics: * More than 8 years industry experience with object oriented designs and developing user interfaces using Google Web Toolkit (GWT), Swing Java, JSP, Servlets, JavaScript, HTML, Hibernate, etc. * Professional experience with Google Web Toolkit is a plus. Strong Java experience will be considered. Good understanding of Servlets and Web containers is a must. * Oracle SQL skills required. * Familiarity and experience with Eclipse, Subversion/ANT, * Experience developing in UNIX server environments. * Experience with BEA Weblogic Server or other J2EE application container. * Applicable University Degree or equivalent experience in software development.
