Description Role Description The Financial Business Analyst reports to the Business Manager and will be responsible for project analysis, project management, financial and statistical analysis. In support of the overall operations and control environment for Accounts Payable, T&E, and Fixed Asset processing for Corporate Accounts Payable (combined volume of 5 million transactions, valued at $14 billion annually). In this role, the financial project analyst will have direct, daily interaction with the following: . Global FinApps Operations managers and leads in the US, UK and APAC . US, UK, and APAC offshore operations . US, UK and APAC onshore operations . Global FinApps Management Team Specific responsibilities include: * Project Business Analyst: Provide project analysis and / or project management of varied projects within CAP (examples being Bank of New York acquisition and divestiture and PCARD implementation). Support the development and management of project business cases, project plans and execution approach. Utilize a rigorous process for defining client requirements and project specifications as well as analyze and discuss the potential risks/benefits involved in using the specified technology solution to address the business requirement. Define purpose, clear roles, tasks, milestones, budgets and measures of success. Monitor projects on an ongoing basis, evaluating progress and quality, managing issue resolution process and taking corrective action as necessary. Work with QA Manager and testing team to ensure thorough testing of modules/application/interfaces. Promote and monitor compliance of application development activities with audit and information risk policies. Manage the control self assessment process to assess gaps and develop action plans addressing these gaps. Act as an interface with internal and external audit groups. Provide action plans to mitigate risk and help implement them, when applicable. Monitor financial delivery and issue management processes, escalating issues and variances to budgets where necessary. Analyze financial reports, trends to identify opportunities and resolve issues. * Financial Analyst: . Produce monthly CAP / GFO Metrics: receiving various key process indicators from various sources; collating; analyzing results and producing graphical reports . Create ad hoc operations analysis of various activities within CAP (examples being Turnaround Time and Duplicate Payment) . Create ad hoc financial analysis of various activities within CAP (examples being Delinquencies and Cash Advances) . Implement a consistent budget/forecasting reporting model across CAP; monitor after implementation . Maintain weekly report on global spend of AP and T&E, analyzing QoQ and YoY change. . Manage the CAP SLA processes as required
Qualifications Required Skills The Financial Project Analyst will have proven analytical capability in all of Corporate Accounts Payable product lines. - The analyst will have a strong acumen for numbers. - Need to understand and be sensitive to interrelations between CAP and its LOBs. - The successful candidate will have demonstrated a strong control and quality background and will have an understanding of the end to end procure to pay transaction life cycle. - In addition, will have demonstrated superior individual contributor capabilities and be ready to move into a leadership role; other competencies should be strong teamwork and change management skills, a willingness to embrace an operating environment that spans multiple time zones, multiple locations and cultures, and superior attention to detail. - Finally, this individual will demonstrate a willingness to operate in a virtual team environment where peers, colleagues, and staff are located in multiple locations across the globe. - The successful individual is required to hold a Bachelor’s degree and will have had 2 — 4 years experience in an operations environment, preferably in an Accounts Payable operation.
