Summary Description: Reporting to the E&C Compliance Operations and Strategy Partner, this role is accountable for the ongoing facilitation of strategic planning and execution within Ethics & Compliance. Works with E&C leadership to create vision, sets goals, defines objectives, and assigns priorities. Drives measurement of progress against strategic priorities and champions continuous improvement in day-to-day operations. This role is responsible for operationalizing Firm strategy toward a shared responsibility for compliance. The Strategy Execution Directors behavior will demonstrate knowledge and understanding that continuously improving compliance and ethical practices in the Strategy Execution group is part of their responsibilities. Leads people and change efforts by modelling agile and open-minded behavior to spearhead change efforts within and across teams. Develops individuals who are connected to the practice and who can communicate people-related issues from the field to leadership This role oversees the management of a portfolio of internally focused projects/initiatives that directly align to E&C’s strategic priorities and management of affected stakeholders. This includes special regulatory mandated projects as they arise, e.g. PCAOB, CPAB, etc. Ensures the provision of end-to-end project management services including workplans, project scope, project estimates, resources, timing, interdependencies, etc. Assesses opportunities that will impact business strategy and performance, as well as researches and identifies sources of advantage and looks for internal and external customer opportunities to anticipate and satisfy changing customer needs. Leads team resources in analysis and documentation of business processes for specific Line of Service compliance needs; recommends technology-based improvements for improved compliance processes. This role is responsible for collaborating with the Marketing & Communications function to plan and implement a comprehensive ongoing national strategic communications program and coordinating the various messages and deliverables of the functional areas. This will also potentially require interaction with external vendors as well as servicing the message needs of the functional areas within the Ethics & Compliance Office. This role is responsible for establishing and effectively conveying the tone of the Ethics & Compliance Office and approving the vehicles for delivering the messages of the functional areas within the Ethics & Compliance Office, as well as helping to ensure the creating, writing, designing and coordination of delivery of E&C communications across the Firm is carried out in accordance with E&C strategic objectives. Oversees all educational activities for the Ethics & Compliance Office and their related activities such as firm-wide compliance training for partners and staff. Manages the understanding, approval and prioritization of Ethics and Compliance training opportunities within the Firm. Facilitates a highly collaborative relationship with Ethics and Compliance functional leaders to assess needs, formulate educational approaches and develop content. Coordinates the delivery of Ethics and Compliance training with the L&E group including pre-course communications, content delivery modes, and monitoring participation Strategic & Technical Orientation / Job Content: This role requires the expertise to facilitate leadership through the strategic planning and execution lifecycle. Deep understanding of the project management lifecycle particularly how it translates within the working norms of the Firm including high familiarity with Change Management techniques and interfacing with the US IT demand/supply organization. Ownership for the formal development of integrated Compliance communications and training programs with Firm-wide impact. Range of Impact: Integral in the conception of strategic plans for E&Cs vision of shared responsibility for Compliance across the Firm. Directs the project management, communication and training resources toward the cohesive delivery of Compliance services. Scope of responsibility: This role is accountable for the management of internal Independence and Compliance programs and projects providing project managers and functional liaisons to help the functional leaders assess opportunities and develop alternative solutions. The scope of this role includes championing the institution of metrics within each of the functional groups. In addition this role will use those metrics to identify and prioritize continuous improvement opportunities. Significant interaction with the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer to develop, document and communicate strategic intent. Significant interaction with Ethics and Compliance functional leaders to understand their needs, develop communications and identify training needs to best operationalize the Independence strategies across the groups.
