Description Position Description The main objective of Fidelity Investments Technology (FIT) is to coordinate and manage a portfolio of projects to efficiently and effectively achieve a set of business objectives that aligns with organization goals. In addition, the group is responsible for data analysis , either in support of business initiatives or in response to ad hoc requests. Projects will generally require coordination across portfolio management, managing the business, in-depth knowledge of data , research, operations, systems and channels. . The role would require extensive familiarity with different software Methodologies like RAD, waterfall The FIT group is seeking a Director, Data Analysis, an ideal candidate who will demonstrate a combination of data analysis, business analysis, and facilitation and influence skills - to set a data strategy and architectural approach for the risk platform Primary Responsibilities * Responsible to lead and manage complex programs with multiple projects including their scope, budget and milestones. Effectively minimize project and organizational risk, escalate project risks with possible alternatives. * Apply analytical skills to gain contextual understanding of the trading and risk applications. Provide leadership and direction to technology and project participants * Develop and maintain strategic relationships with senior business unit management, business partners, project sponsors and business users. * Provide clear and targeted communications as well as formal presentations of project milestones to business customers at senior levels within the organization * Deliver results by understanding the business drivers and coaching Managers around key behaviors that influence results * Align Managers to business, goals, and the impact and value they bring to the role * Analyze business data, resolve problems associated with technical issues, resource issues and integration issues * This role requires facing with business and extensive experience in client interaction , defining roadmaps and helping business in prioritize their deliverables keeping in sight of the strategic and architectural approach as well guiding a team of individuals in accomplishing these deliverables

Qualifications Education and Experience: * Bachelors degree with 5+ years in finance industry * Versatile program & project management experience with ability to manage complex assignments across different business groups. * Good understanding of trading, risk and margin in banking and capital markets. An understanding of financial services related systems a plus. * Ability to understand a business issue and communicate options to both the business and the technology teams * Risk management skills and cost/benefit analytical ability * Strong organization skills including time, task and process management * Strong influencing capabilities and demonstrate leadership skills * A team player with the ability to work collaboratively across departments * Negotiation skills; able to manage expectations * Problem solving and decision making skills * Knowledge of various technical architectures, software, and hardware a plus * Experience in managing or coordinating offshore-teams a plus * A self-starter who is assertive, independent and a global thinker Skills and Knowledge: * Proven ability to develop and maintain highly reliable application and systems * Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills * Experience managing complex projects and multi-staged analyses * Ability to work well independently and interact directly with senior executives * Ability to act confidently, influence others across the organization, and navigate successfully in a matrixes environment * Strong verbal, written, and presentation-based communication skills * Excellent managing and coaching skills * Strong Data Analysis skills, Ability to do conceptual and logical data model * Solid understanding of general PC tools such as MS Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint Company overview: Fidelity Investments is one of the worlds largest providers of financial services, with custodied assets of $3.3 trillion, including managed assets of more than $1.5 trillion as of June 30, 2008.
