Description DEVELOPMENT: (WHAT YOU WILL LEARN BY DOING THIS JOB) Hopefully the candidate already has strong knowledge and experience with large-scale reengineering projects in the Securities processing business. The best opportunity for development is to learn about how Global Custody and Direct Custody interact. Also this is an opportunity to learn about the Securities business running in 51 different countries. Running a project globally. OVERVIEW: Integrate multiple initiatives to address the end-to-end operational, technical and service models required to establish a competitively differentiated global footprint, that better leverages Citi’s domestic market capabilities. This new capability will leave all competitors behind, bringing this to our global customers in a highly efficient seamless way. The Re-Engineering project has visibility to the highest levels of management, as one of the two major new initiatives for Global Transaction Services, the leader in Citi for Revenue and Income growth over the past 3 years. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage a team of business and data analysts, designers, and application developers to redesign current global custody systems to streamline transaction processing. Project Management Office responsibility. EXPECTED OUTCOMES (WHAT WILL SUCCESS LOOK LIKE IN 12 MONTHS) This is a multi-year project, with a great deal of the first 12 months focused on analysis, process flows, and architectural design. KEY CHALLENGES(WHAT IS THE WORK/MARKET ENVIRONMENT) Many challenges — including time zones, redirecting resources engaged in existing projects, gaining SME knowledge of the existing systems, etc.

Specifications / Qualifications CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS (KEY COMPETENCIES, MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, MINIMUM PRIOR SPAN OF CONTROL, TECHNICAL SKILLS) TECHNICAL SKILLS: Knowledge of mainframe, distributed, and web-based architectures and design patterns. Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Relational Database modeling and SOA. NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS: Strong financial background. 10 years working in Securities processing. Strong interpersonal skills, with business, operations and technology people. Good balance of decision making and consensus building. Perseverance and fortitude. Good organization and analysis. People management for over 5 years, delivering annual performance reviews.
