Responsibilities: . Ensure daily production batch and transmission targets are achieved in support of service level agreements. . Monitor online applications to ensure availability and response times are within targeted thresholds. . Monitor system and hardware components to ensure service availability. . Ensure all production batch problems are permanently resolved expeditiously. . Utilize CA7 to monitor and resolve complex batch issues. . Act as area focal point for major issues providing information to the Production Manager. . Recommend and implement production batch stream elapse time improvements. . Recommend possible automation improvements. . Review and maintain all operational procedures. . Interface with NCC, Service Center and Client Community. . Interface with Application and System programming groups. . Documentation of all issues in Remedy. . Facility Monitoring (supporting on-site Command Center role provided by Tape Services). . Problem prevention, detection and resolution - Systems, On-lines, Batch, Transmissions and Hardware. . Responsible for initiating recovery, corrective and notification procedures during system outages. . Execution of change window activity e.g. startup/shutdown systems, region recycles, NCP loads, etc. . Provide training to less experience staff members. . Identify educational needs and skill gaps. .
