Description: Patient Access Representative Department: Patient Access Services Schedule: Part-time-2 Shift: night Hours: 11pm-7am every other weekend and 4 holidays/year Job Details: - High School Graduate or Equivalent - 1 - 2 Years Under general supervision, and according to well defined policies and procedures, interviews patients and/or patients? representatives to obtain necessary personal, demographic and financial information and identification. Performs computer data entry and other record keeping tasks related to the patients? registration within the registration areas. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent, excellent customer service skills, strong organizational skills, team player, ability to multi task and work diligently in a fast paced environment, a minimum of one year hospital admitting or medical billing experience and clerical experience in an Emergency Department is preferred.
