Description: Guest Reception Representative Department: Patient Relations Schedule: Per Diem Shift: day Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Job Details: - High School Graduate or Equivalent General Summary

Under the supervision of the Guest Reception Coordinator and Director of Volunteer & Patient Relations, the Guest Relations Representative ensures a cheerful, polite and professional welcome to everyone who visitsEnglewoodHospitalandMedicalCenter. The Guest Relations Representative is responsible for all of the functions of the Information Desk including, answering questions, providing directions, issuing visitor passes, and general assistance to all that need it.

Principal Duties

Greets and interacts with all individuals who approach the Information Desk in a cheerful, polite and professional manner. Answers general questions and provide directions and visitor passes. Responds to patient, family and visitor requests and tries to accommodate, when possible, so as to increase patient satisfaction (e.g., wheelchair assistance, calling taxi service, escorting patients, etc.) Answers incoming telephone calls. . Maintains the Information Desk work area by stocking supplies and keeping an updated Information Desk Manual. . Accepts and logs flower deliveries from florists. . Coordinates vendor sign-in procedures and issues vendor passes. . Participates on Medical Center Committees, as assigned. . Represents theMedicalCenterin the best possible light by practicing the Standards for Service Excellence. . Responsible for other duties as assigned by the Guest Reception Coordinator and/or Director of Volunteers & Patient Relations.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Education: High School required. Some college desirable. Skills: Excellent command of the English language. Bilingual skills highly desired. (English/Spanish and/or English/Korean) Computer literate. Exceptional customer service skills with high level of communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Team Player. Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.

Experience: One year experience in a related role in a healthcare or hotel setting desirable. Solid customer service background required.

Job Knowledge: Ability to work with all levels of staff within theMedicalCenter; Strong follow-up skills; self-motivated and well organized. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Standards for Service
