Description: Endoscopy Technician Department: Endoscopy Schedule: Full-time Shift: day Hours: 11a-7p Job Details: - Technical School - 2 - 4 Years Inspects and functionally operates all Endoscopy equipment, electric power instruments and audiovisual equipment to insure optimum safety and performance. Prepares purchase requisitions and disposition of storeroom supplies. Is responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory: processing and maintaining of instruments, scopes and equipment. Processes associated paperwork and maintains records on all equipment. Assists the nurse and physician in the Endoscopy Suite under the direction of the Patient Care Director or designee. Min. of two years of experience as a Medical Assistant with experience in a busy endoscopy center/unit. Assisting the physician with endoscopy procedures. Experience in cleaning and disinfecting endoscopes. Knowledge of supplies and equipment used in an endoscopy unit.
