Description: Care Manager Department: Med/Surg Dean 8 (Ortho/Neuro/Surgical) Schedule: Full-time Shift: day Hours: 3 pm - 11 pm Job Details: - Bachelors Level Degree - Registered Nurse - 1 - 2 Years The care manager provides care for individuals, families, aggregates of patients and for community groups. The level of responsibility of the care manager is from admission to post discharge. The care manager is prepared to function in structured and unstructured health care settings. The unstructured setting is a geographical and/or situations environment, which may not have established standards and has the potential for variations requiring independent decision making. The care manager directs the work of the staff nurse, unlicensed care givers and other disciplines that provide direct patient care. BSN preferred. Note: If there are no BSN degreed applicants qualified, the Medical Center will consider those non-degreed applicants matriculated in a nursing degree program and expected to receive the degree within one year of application.
