ThePharmacy Technicianassists pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. This role has responsibility for: * Replenishing medications in emergency crash carts or floor stock areas* Preparing intravenous admixtures or other sterile preparations (including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition) accurately * Delivering medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately per established schedule * Rotating stock to insure use before expiration date * Entering medication orders into pharmacy computer system accurately * Entering charges and credits for patient medication accurately * Completing and margin-BOTTOM: 0px"Identifying and replacing outdated and unusable drugs * Maintaining current technician certification * Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist

Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent * College courses desirable but not required * May require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs.) * Requires walking and standing for long periods of time (4 to 8 hours) * Must be punctual and dependable; reports to work as scheduled * Maintains neat and professional well groomed appearance * Works cooperatively with staff * Maintains strict confidentiality of patient, visitor, and employee information Cardinal Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including 401K and tuition reimbursement.
