Description: Title: VBSS Blackbelt Location: NJ, Clifton Req Number: ESNJ - 9400 Position Description: The Value Based Six Sigma team is looking a results oriented individual with effective communication skills to become the next Blackbelt to lead project teams to improve critical business processes that drive financial results. The ideal candidate must be a team oriented individual with the ability to focus on completing tasks in a timely manner; detail oriented with strong interpersonal and problem solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to analyze work processes and make efficiency improvements. Duties include scoping projects, developing project plans and business cases, as well as recruiting, training and leading project team members. New Black Belts will receive a minimum of 6 weeks of in depth Value Based Six Sigma (VBSS) training focused on Leadership Effectiveness, Six Sigma Problem Solving, and either Product Development or Lean Production. Successful completion of training and successful completion of improvement projects will lead to Black Belt "Certification". Experience Requirements: Bachelors Degree, preferably in Engineering or Business. Minimum of 5 years of professional level experience. Green Belt or Lean training a plus. Prior supervisory or project management experience and the ability to deal with and resolve conflict is a plus. Project management skills and team leadership skills. Knowledge of other functions that provide inputs regularly, i.e., Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Finance, Human Resources, and Operations. Excellent communication skills, ability to work with statistics and data to drive decisions. Sound PC skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office products. Data Base and SQL language skills. Knowledge of spreadsheet, presentation, project management, process mapping and word processing software. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under frequently changing priorities. Knowledge of continuous improvement, quality and basic financial principles and the ability to apply them to analyze the planned activities. Ability to lead and direct an improvement team.
