Description: Title: Sr Staff Engineer - Digital Hardware Design Location: NJ, Clifton Req Number: itti-00010223 Position Description: Great Career Opportunity with ITT Space Systems Division who, for more than 50 years, has provided innovative remote sensing solutions to customers in the Department of Defense, Intelligence, Space Science, and Commercial Aerospace to help them visualize and understand critical events happening anywhere on earth, in the air, or in space in time to take effective action. ITT Space Systems Division Hardware Design Group is looking for an experienced Sr Staff Digital Hardware Design Engineer for its Clifton, NJ facility. In this position you will derive and develop electrical hardware architectures and designs that meet customer requirements for space hardware development programs. Required duties include: specification generation for electrical systems and modules, execution of architecture trades studies, HW/SW partitioning, and development of electronic architectures and circuit card assemblies. Other duties include: FPGA design, application of embedded microprocessors, digital hardware design, specification of test procedures and design verification. Applicant should be familiar with FPGA development tools including design entry, simulation, synthesis, and place -and- route. Additionally, experience with CAD tools (Cadence) is a plus. Be a part of a diverse team supporting a wide range of innovative remote sensing solutions. Our capabilities range from best-in-class image and information collection, processing, exploitation, analysis, and integration to dissemination solutions for a variety of applications including intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, GPS navigation, meteorological, commercial remote sensing, and space science. Experience Requirements: Education and Experience: Requires B.S. degree, preferably in Engineering or Technical field (BSEE preferred) with 12 -20 years of relevant digital hardware design experience, or an MS degree (MSEE preferred) with 10 + years experience in digital hardware design, or a PHD with 8+ years work experience in digital hardware design. Board-level design experience and knowledge of FPGA design is required. Experience with high-reliability military and/or space-qualified hardware design is highly desirable. Security Clearance: This position may require the passing of both a background investigation and polygraph to achieve a variety of compartmented national security clearances.
