Our Tactical Business Area Team is looking for a results oriented program manager with effective communication and leadership skills who has the ability to focus on completing tasks in a timely manner to serve as the Leader of the Management team assigned to a program or programs in an IPT environment. Assigned as Team Leader with responsibility for achieving financial objectives for a program or programs; directs all communications and negotiations with the customer; directs efforts of personnel directly and functionally assigned to the program. Also responsible for operational progress and institution of remedial action to effect completion in accordance with customer criteria. Responsibilities include planning, directing, controlling and coordinating financial as well as engineering activities for the program or programs assigned, and for achieving financial and technical objectives. The program manager will define operational direction and institute remedial action(s) in order to satisfy customer requirements while achieving project specific sales targets/goals; gross margin targets; percent delivery on-time; bookings targets/goals; and customer satisfaction. Experience Requirements: Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical field. Masters degree (in an engineering or technical field) highly desirable. PM credentials and/or certification considered a plus. 15 years experience in engineering, manufacturing, or project management, at least five of which must have been in a leadership position within a Program Management, Business Development, or Project Engineering discipline. Proven track record in achieving objectives. Demonstrated experience supporting new business proposals is a must. Proven Program or Project Management (cost & schedule control, risk mitigation, team leadership) skills in a technical development environment. EW technical and market knowledge, and familiarity with U.S. Government budgeting and accounting principles a plus. Hands-On management style, and an in-depth understanding of engineering processes is required. Excellent communication, team building and decision-making skills with ability to influence organizational change and process improvement, and to motivate team members is required. Program Management expertise to assess status and risk, generate recovery plans, and meet customer expectations and business objectives. Excellent communication skills with senior internal and external corporate management, customers, and employees. Ability to lead multi-functional teams to achieve objectives.
