Description: Title: Product Assurance Engineer Location: NJ, Clifton Req Number: itti-00009707 Position Description: The ITT Space Systems Division Product Assurance team is looking for a self motivated, results oriented individual with effective communication skills to assess and improve complex electronic/electromechanical space borne systems. This individual proactively audits, investigates and evaluates equipment design, manufacturing processes and manufactured equipment to assure conformance to specifications, standards and customer requirements. He or she investigates causes of defects and drives corrective action to improve product quality and reliability. The candidate will be requried to develop systems and procedures to meet project requirements and dvelop robust quality data collection methods. The Product Assurance Engineer serves as the Quality liaison with customers, subcontractors, vendors and military agencies. The selected candidate collaborates with Test, Inspection and Engineering personnel on assigned projects in determining the most economical points of inspection and indicates the extent of the inspection required. He or she prepares inspection procedures and reviews processses/procedures prepared by manufacturing and or test engineering prepared by manufacturing and or test engineering personnel. The Product Assurance Engineer develops reports and drives improvement of various aspects of the product assurance function including customer escapes, cost of quality, accuracy or inspection, and mission success rate to name a few. M/F/D/V Experience Requirements: BSEE/BSME required with a minimum of 5 years experience in space systems Quality Assurance Engineering. He or she should be experienced in the manufacturing and testing of space quality, high complexity RF circuitry. Six Sigma Greenbelt training and certification is a plus, along with knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques and NASA soldering reuirements. ASQ certification is desirable. Some travel is required. The applicant must be able to obtain a security clearance.
