Description: Pitney Bowes International Mail Services is the solution.As the largest international mail expediter in the United States, we are setting the standard for the consolidation and distribution of mail, marketing material, publications and parcels. http://www.imex.pb.com/%%0A %%0A %%0A Process Improvement Engineer - Clifton, NJ%%0A %%0A %%0A Reports To: Plant Operations Manager - NJ or VP Operations%%0A %%0A %%0A Key Responsibilities%%0A%%0A * Analyze opportunities for automation of mail sorting and material handling processes. %%0A * Compile and present business cases (cost/benefit analyses) for short and long-term investments in the areas of mail sorting automation and material handling. %%0A * Manage projects involving sourcing, installation, and implementation of automation solutions.%%0A * Lead process improvement and waste reduction efforts through the use of Lean Manufacturing tools & techniques including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, etc.%%0A * Conduct training of hourly staff and supervisors on Lean techniques as necessary.%%0A * Identify and prioritize opportunities to eliminate operational waste. Promote continuous process improvement in all aspects of the organization.%%0A * Establish standard operating procedures for sorting and handling mail.
