Description: Title: Material Resource/Enterprise Resource Planning Specialist Location: NJ, Clifton Req Number: itti-00007246 Position Description: The Operations and Planning Group of ITT Space Systems Division in Clifton, NJ is seeking a Material Resource Planning/Enterprise Resource Planning Specialist. In this position you will plan, measure, control, and coordinate assigned Operation Planning & Control projects during all phases of the products life cycle. You will be directly responsible for schedule, and cost during all assigned phases of the project. You will prepare and maintain milestones quantifying required resources and providing the management the proper visibility to accomplish proper task prioritization within Operations. You will be the Prime interface between Operations and all other internal functions to assure proper BOM creation, implement sales into Operation Management System and assure system is properly loaded and demands are correct. WORK PERFORMED: Directs the analysis and availability of inventory. This includes, but is not limited to, the review of transaction records, diagnostic reports, and inventory control data as provided in Material Resource Planning. Documents the product strategy including an in-process measurement system that will be used to evaluate the teams success of incorporating the strategies to improve overall department productivity Plans and schedules identified tasks within operations, required to support the project. Quantifies the resources required from the functions and the expected duration, to enable the functional managers to appropriately plan for man loading the job and insure delivery requirements are met. Develops PERT schedules from functional inputs for assigned projects, detailing timing and dependencies of the tasks of each operational function as defined. Provides detailed schedules and conducts status meetings in monitoring and expediting to ensure program schedule and cost is maintained. Issues and updates weekly WIP tracking report and provides metric on schedule performance. Disseminates all program changes within the production control organization as well as assembly supervision and OPL. Assure integrity of Operation Management System & Material Resource Planning system Monitor all material issues with Supply Chain and assure all material is available to meet program schedule. Provides input to departmental budgets and labor proposals. Responsible for meeting budgetary goals. Develops, reviews, recommends and updates procedures affecting the production control department. Interfaces with programs and contracts offices to ensure proper documentation such as contract releases and program profiles. Prepares and presents project measurements and task status and criteria issues during regularly scheduled management review. Facilitate communication between the functional resources and fosters problem solving at the lowest level. Participates in all proposal activities including the development of proposal ground rules. Performs other tasks as required. Experience Requirements: - BS degree in an Engineering discipline, masters preferred. - The selected candidate will have 8 to 10 years experience in production planning or materials management. - Working knowledge of MRP, SAP, and Microsoft Excel, Project, Power Point and Access is required. - Organization, planning, interpersonal, and decision making skills are also required. - Design of Experiments (DOE) preferred - Lean experience is required - MRP implementation preferred - Proven business systems implementation - Must be a U.S. Citizen.
