Description: Will primarily Administer our Sybase SQL Anywhere database, monitor, and optimize performance. The databases are setup in a replication environment using SQL Remote. Will monitor and make sure that replication is working and will correct any replication errors. Reponsible for making sure that databases are properly backed-up and will do regular restore tests to make sure that backups are working properly. Will setup and configure database environments for release to production, QA, Test, and Development environments. Will be working with business Analysts in designing tables, stored procedures and triggers. Minimum 3 years experience Databases : Sybase SQL Anywhere MS SQL Server Oracle Strong experience in Administration using Sybase SQL Anywhere ver. 9 and up Strong experience in Database Replication using SQL Remote Strong Experience in data architecture Experience in MS SQL Server a plus Experience in Database Migration from SQL Anywhere to Oracle a plus Excellent Verbal/Written communication skills
