Description: |My Career Center|View Job Cart| Cosmetologist PRSM-005640 Other 5060 - Corporate R & D Clark NJ FUNCTION: The position is in the Sensorial Testing Department at the LOreal USA R&D facility in Clark, NJ. This group is responsible for the sensory, consumer and claims testing of all the consumer products manufactured by LOreal USA. Job Responsibilities: Apply makeup and nail products to consumers in tests of new formulas; Evaluate, using established rating scales, the sensory and functional attributes of products when applied to consumers; Execute observational studies of how consumers apply/use makeup products and provide professional feedback; Give training to department staff and chemists on the purpose, various application techniques and different types of possible results of various makeup products Collaborate with other Cosmetologists in the standardization of research protocols; Work very closely with consumers, sensory scientists and formulators; Draft screeners for recruitment. Work closely with Logistic Task Force to ensure proper recruitment is completed; Develop strong intra-departmental, cross-functional relationships and foster integration of knowledge. Stay current on new products being launched, including competition. Evaluate and offer feedback to laboratories when appropriate. REQUIREMENTS: Experience: Current Cosmetologist license (NJ) Excellent team player Must be highly proactive Good written and oral communication skills Experience as a makeup artist and salon experience preferred Interest in human behavior/perception and the sensory properties of products Must be highly computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word Must be legally eligible to work in the US on an on-going basis.
