Overall Responsibilities:

In support of our customers testing the recovery of their systems/servers and related data and applications, this Recovery Specialist I position will work hands on with a wide variety of IBM iSeries, pSeries and RS/6000 systems running various versions of the AIX operating system. SunGard typically maintains both state-of the-art systems as well as legacy hardware in support of our customer base. In the process, this individual will work with a wide range of tape drives and media, including enterprise-class tape libraries such as IBM, SUN (StorageTek) and Quantum (ADIC). SAN-based external storage is used to provide the respective disk requirements that the Recovery Specialist I will be working with. This individual will have extensive customer interaction as part of their daily routine, as we jointly work to insure the successful testing of our customers recovery.
