More information about this job: Overview: • Read, understand, evaluate, comment on and apply client's specifications and requirements. Calculate heat transfer in and around bodies as function of fluid properties, geometries, temperatures and flow rates. Calculate pressure drop in enclosures as function of fluid properties, geometries, temperatures and flow rates. Select materials compatible with design temperature, design pressure, erosion and corrosion. Calculate wall thickness of pressurized enclosures in accordance with design codes. Maintain proposal and job files in accordance with company procuress and practices. Select appropriate type of heater for particular application. Select insulating/refractory materials as function of temperatures, required insulating effect, maximum allowed external temperature in compliance with requirements and Lummus experience. Define requirements for auxiliary equipment, such as burners, fans, air preheaters, ducting, measuring equipment, as far as inside scope, in compliance with requirements and Lummus experience. Evaluate quotations for auxiliary equipment and check documentation against requirements. Write provisional operating instructions. Utilize Lummus proprietary programs to calculate performance of selected geometries. Evaluate calculated performance with requirements and improve geometries to satisfy the requirements. Prepare heater and/or equipment data sheets. Prepare performance test and acceptance requirements for equipment. Attend and report on testing and equipment

Qualifications: 5-10 years of professional experience and a B.S. degree in mechanical or chemical engineering. Experience with HTRI required
