More information about this job: Overview: Seeking a Sr. Principal Process Engineer to join the Houston, Texas team to assess, enhance and lead major project eams/task forces in proprietary process technologies licensed by CDTECH>

Responsibilities: Activities involve first-of-a-kind technologies and process as well as fully demonstrated technologies for production of ethers and others components to the petrochemical and refining industries. Evaluate pilot plant and commercial plant performance. Act as licensor representative at client's refinery and petrochemical facility during implementation of the proprietary technologies. Provide technical leadership for the multi-discipline design team during the process design phase of licensed plants beginning with the process definition for the plant and culminating with the commercial implementation. Activities include incorporation and continued implementation of technological improvements of the license process technology. Initiate technical decisions within and beyond established procedures and guidelines. Supervise the process design team and coordinate with other disciplines providing support to the process engineering effort. Review and approve project documentation. Train subordinates in process tools and procedures and technology. Supervise the preparation of Process Study Reports, preparation of the Basic Engineering Specifications and the Supervisory Operating Manuals. Participate in Kick-Off meetings, client review meetings, plant start-up meetings and performance test runs, as required. Participate in detailed engineering follow-up. Answer operating and production questions after start up/test run. Perform special assignments as requested by client licensees. Assess technical risks when making innovative advances in process technology. Determine the competitiveness of process technologies compared to other licensor's technologies. Interface with Research and development personnel to implement improvements to existing technologies. Review technical proposals to ensure compliance with RFPs and to ensure application of the most competitive options available. Interface with marketing personnel to ensure the technology presentations are applicable and current. Assist marketing personnel preparing technology presentations and technical papers. Assist in the presentation of technology to clients. Establish Basis of Designs (proposals and BEPs) for new or updated technologies. Work with the Reaction Engineering Group in the development of new models or physical property data.

Qualifications: Must have proof of legal authority to work in U.S.
