She told me to put off my ideas of going to southern CA at this time.
My medical issues are out of whack and she put me on some new meds,
had some tests done, etc.
I got up this morning and my fasting blood sugar was 381, about 3
times the normal.
When I saw her Thursday my B/P was 190/101 ......not good. The
American Heart Organization says les than 120/80 is good.
So i'll just chill here for awhile. LOL

The state park department found 100's of rattle snakes at a state
visitors center in the southern part of the atate along I-10.
They've relocated them, and will check back for more.

Barack Obama rattled as rivals steal the limelight
Tom Baldwin in Washington
Barack Obama tried to present a picture of perfect poise yesterday in
the face of evidence that Sarah Palin is transforming the presidential
race, insisting that he was less concerned about polls and newspaper
headlines than "what I can do for the country".
With Democrats asking if the familiar sight of a Republican resurgence
is a trend or merely a post-convention bounce, Mr Obama's mask of calm
has, at times, slipped to reveal him as uncertain — even disorientated
— about how to tackle the unexpected phenomenon of Mrs Palin.
Although he made two weighty policy speeches in Ohio about Iraq and
education policy, he now spices campaign appearances with spluttered
outrage at how Mrs Palin and Mr McCain are portraying themselves as
agents of change — or fulmination over the failure of the media to ask
them tough questions.

T. Boone Pickens was just on Lou Dobbs' show.
He said that there are only actually about 2 billion barrels of
recoverable oil offshore on each coast and about 4 billion barrels of
recoverable oil in ANWR. Combined with what we could drill within the
continental U.S., there is only about 10 billion barrels of recoverable
oil in total. That won't put a dent in the price, nor will it ensure
our security.
He wants us to switch to natural gas.
The transcripts should be up soon and I'll post them.
Also, the show should repeat later tonight.

The Republicans are bringing troops home from Iraq,
while the Democrats are just talking about it.

republicans keep pointing out the problems with freddie mac and fannie mae
have nothing to do with how they were regulated
or anything done by the executive
all the problems they say are due to the congress
because the congress is democrat controled
it means all the problems are due to democrats
when pointed out the problems date back three to five years
it was still all the fault of the democrats

Democrats say they have a tough time with voters in Southeast Ohio. When
polled they say they aren't ready to vote for a black man. They still
believe he is a Moslem. They think he will use the korhan instead of the
bible if sworn in as president. Pretty much what Republicans try to
get people to think...

Man says he's eaten 23,000 Big Macs since 1972
Sep 9, 3:24 PM (ET)
FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) - A 54-year-old man says his obsessive-
compulsive disorder drove him to eat 23,000 Big Macs in 36 years.
Fifty-four-year-old Don Gorske says he hit the milestone last month,
continuing a pleasurable obsession that began May 17, 1972 when he got
his first car.
Gorske has kept every burger receipt in a box. He says he was always
fascinated with numbers, and watching McDonald's track its number of
customers motivated him to track his own consumption.
The only day he skipped a Big Mac was the day his mother died, to
respect her request.
The correctional-institution employee says he doesn't care when people
call his Big Mac obsession crazy. He says he's in love with the
burgers, which are the highlights of his days.

The Republicans bitched and bitched about Obama being a superstar and
people chanting etc. and no experience in campaign ads. Now that they
got Palin, all that is ok.
