When the Republicans brag about how there have been no terrorist
attacks on the U.S. since 9-11, and that it's the GOP who will protect
us, it was Bush-Cheney who were in charge on 9-11 who failed to
protect us.
So when you hear the Republicans bragging about their record keeping
us safe, they're at fault for over 3,000 deaths on 9-11.
And instead of getting bin Laden "dead or alive", the 7th anniversary
of that attack is a few days away, binLaden hasn't been caught or
killed, the U.S. basically abandoned the war in Afghanistan to NATO,
and Bush went into Iraq, causing over 4,000 more American deaths, on a
war based on lies.

9%% of American homeowners are behind on their mortgages with many in
foreclosure.
Now, I know many of these are due to job losses, unexpected health
problems and other unexpected bills, but Americans we have got to start
living within our means. The buying of homes bigger than any family
ever needs and filling them with junk that no one needs has got to stop.

Don't fall for the bait, folks.
We're all better than them.

The news showed John McCain campaigning in Colorado.
He stood at a microphone and read his remarks.
Then they showed Obama (somewhere) and he was walking around, talking
to folks 'off the cuff''.

"There are now about 60 days until Election Day and just three weeks
until the debates. And who knows whether we'll get the first Sarah
Palin serious issue interview before then.
On "MORNING JOE" (MSNBC), McCain manager Rick Davis wouldn't commit to
putting her out for interviews.
This Sunday is interesting in that three of the four principles are
doing Sunday shows, the lone holdout: Sarah Palin.
It seems the GOP just wants her to do scripted campaign appearances,
and to not face reporters' questions."

The AP is reporting that the National Republican Senatorial Committee
has canceled its $2.3 million TV buy in New Mexico, "an indication
that it's leaving the GOP candidate there to fend for himself as the
party braces for losses."
Not only does that seem to mean that the GOP is giving up on a second
Senate contest (the first was Virginia), but how will that impact the
presidential race in that battleground state?

You are going to love it after the storm passes. The sun is out here -
maybe you won't see it till tomorrow morning - but the air is wonderful;
the humidity is gone for the moment, and I have my windows open to a real,
clean Fall breeze. I'm in heaven.
