Sarah Palin saw the movie 300 and complained that the Spartans seemed
"too wimpy."

Sarah Palin DNA is so tough she doesn't use hairspray, her youngest
daughter's spit keeps her hair in style 24/7.

Sarah Palin is so persuasive that when she worked in a convenience store
as a teenager, she actually sold ice to an eskimo.

Sarah Palin's computer doesn't have an ESC key, because she never
escapes - she pursues!

Hurricane Ike is coming to Texas and I'm leaving from College Station
tomorrow evening. My daughter, grandaughters and I are going North some
to avoid the brunt of Ike. (Hopefully). College Station filled with
evaccuees and now we need to evacuate ourselves, especially if you live
in a mobile home, like we do. I'm a nervous nelly. I'll be so glad when
Hurricane season ends this year. A lot of ppl, animals, homes and
Businesses are going to be affected. Please pray for all???
Wes can't get off work. He is close to Houston than we are here in
College Station. Shawn works for the Twin city Bryan, Texas and he has
to work through the Hurricane too. He will be going back and forth from
his Office and to the Emergency check point and updating the website.
Hopefully the power stays on and this storm...

Barack Obama will defeat John McCain

Author:

By Robert J. Elisberg
Huffington Post

Here are a dozen very specific reasons why Barack Obama will defeat
John McCain for the presidency.

1) Democrats are furious at eight years of George Bush and seriously
driven to vote. On Super Tuesday, 14 million Democrats voted, but just
10 million Republicans.

2) Even Republican analysts expect the GOP to get swamped in the House
and Senate. History shows that voters depressed by their local races
are more likely to stay at home, regardless of the national ticket.
Conversely, Democrats are energized by their local candidates. I've
long-believed the election will have what I call "reverse coat tails,"
where the bottom of tickets will notably help those at the top.

Pressed about what insights into the recent Russian action invading
Georgia she gained by living in Alaska, Palin answered:

"You can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island

Democrats on Capitol Hill fear Obama fallout
By Andrew Ward in Washington

Democratic jitters about the US presidential race have spread to
Capitol Hill, where some members of Congress are worried that Barack
Obama’s faltering campaign could hurt their chances of re-election.

Party leaders have been hoping to strengthen Democratic control of the
House and Senate in November, but John McCain’s jump in the polls has
stoked fears of a Republican resurgence.

A Democratic fundraiser for Congressional candidates said some planned
to distance themselves from Mr Obama and not attack Mr McCain.

“If people are voting for McCain it could help Republicans all the way
down the ticket, even in a year when the Democrats should be sweeping
all before us,” said the fundraiser, a former Hillary Clinton
supporter.

“There is a growing sense of doom among Democrats I have spoken
to . . . People are going crazy, telling the campaign ‘you’ve got to
do something’.”

was impressed that Obama gave kudos to Bush for the AIDS Africa work
he's doing. at least Obama gives credit where it's due. i appreciate
that.

  charles gibson's palin interview

Author: Physicist
Date: Sep 11, 2008 16:37

More will be on 20/20, tonight.

Here's the part of the interview where she couldn't decide whether the
Iraq war is a "task that is from God" or not and where she also
referenced Abraham Lincoln and misquoted him. The woman is a loon:

GIBSON: You said recently, in your old church, "Our national leaders are
sending U.S. soldiers on a task that is from God." Are we fighting a
holy war?

PALIN: You know, I don't know if that was my exact quote.

GIBSON: Exact words.

PALIN: But the reference there is a repeat of Abraham Lincoln's words
when he said -- first, he suggested never presume to know what God's
will is, and I would never presume to know God's will or to speak God's
words.

But what Abraham Lincoln had said, and that's a repeat in my comments,
was let us not pray that God is on our side in a war or any other time,
but let us pray that we are on God's side.

That's what that comment was all about, Charlie.

GIBSON: I take your point about Lincoln's words, but you went on and
said, "There is a plan and it is God's plan."
