Four Tamil civilians arrived seeking refuge - Mannar
Four Tamil civilians of two families have arrived at the fishing
marshalling point at Pallimunai which jointly manned by the Navy and
police seeking refuge at 9.30 a.m yesterday, August 09.
According to the naval sources, two females, a mother and her daughter,
and two male youths of another family are among the people who arrived
at government controlled area from the LTTE held areas.
These civilians stated that they arrived from Vedithalthivu - an
un-cleared area, with an intention of settling down with their relatives
at Selvanagr in Mannar, due to continuous harassment unleashed by LTTE
terrorists and forced conscription.
