Re: fantasy vs. reality

Belief in anything relating to ancient fears of life and nature is a symptom of non-use
of the human animal's brain. Instead of using the wonderfully logical part of their brain to accept
and understand the continuing increase in our knowledge of reality, many (or should I say most)
use some non-evolutionary brain part. This creates beliefs in religions, mysticism and
supernatural phenomenon which do not exist and never existed. Those who have
those beliefs use them for power over others or bilking others out of money or
strengthening their weak-willed minds or fear of social consequences. Today, for example,
many are killing people with religion as an excuse. Money, power and fear are the real
reasons.

When we meet other intelligent life from this or other galaxies, perhaps they and we will
have evolved to use logic to know that any life has won a lottery with incalculable odds.
That makes existence sacred, not supernatural forces. Right now, life is short and
is our only existence. Do not be afraid to accept this. Use your mind to know that
some day evolution can advance the human animal brain and, combined with science, give
us a very long, happy life in reality.

Sick replies will only prove this post's reality. Maybe others will consider reality on the road
to the far future.

Let's not leave out belief in time dilation and length contraction.

This Jesus Christ fellow, everyone claims to know exactly what "he" said or
meant, but no one can prove that he even existed or, in fact, said
anything. Others wrote scripts hundreds of years after the fact, claiming
to be a record of his words, then many, many others have been re-writing
them for 15-20 centuries, whenever it is convenient, or they need updating
to make credible. One might suspect that everyone using his name is trying
CONvince others that they themselves are infallible, and speaking for "him".

Unfounded belief in anything is called stupidity.

Using the name of others to gain advance or prestige is called deceit or
fraud.

The premise of all con artists is "trust me, it is true even though there is
no proof".

If the Bible were the constitution, this country would not have lasted 10
years. Our forefathers understood this, which is why they demanded
separation of church and government, even though they, themselves, were
deeply religious. Religion can be anything some nut claims, but government
has to suceed, or the entire country fails. Which is why we will see the
government's demise, presided over by the DemocRATS.
