BUSH & AFRICA? Democracy's Not His Top Priority There!

Your White House war criminal's cheerleaders would have us believe his
semi-warm receptions on his African visits reflect progress on his
stated goal -- democracy for all.

But while his HIV and AIDS prevention and medical assistance programs
have been at least mildly successful, literate and informed Africans
know that "fighting terrorists" and security are the main issues that
the U.S. is pushing.

"While democratization has clearly been one of the three major stated
objectives of the Bush administration -- the others being security and
development -- democratization probably ranks third," said Joel
Barkan, a senior associate with the Center for Strategic and
International Studies in Washington. "You can see it in several ways,
but it's mainly the subordination of democratization to the so-called
war on terror." -- The Washington Post

WE NOTE that Bushie only visited SMALL 'frican countries, where access
to the Internet, television, radio, news media, and public education
are tightly controlled by the despotic leaders he met. Why do you
think he was not met by mobs of protesters? Those illiterate, smiling
"dancers" have no clue as to Bush's criminality.

and championed American Jews'
support of African Americans
during the Civil Rights struggle,
saying no community in the United
States did more to support Dr. King
and the struggle for equality for
African Americans.
