I am wearing the ring I just made a Blue Tourmaline1 Fabulous 7 x 5
mm octagon shape
that is straight from the invoice
tourmaline and tanzanite are just not the same thing.
tanzanite is the periwinkle stone
btw i asked my mother what she thought of my ring, she said it is a
gorgeous blue
tanzanite means 'from country of tanzania"
tourmaline means 'many colored pebble'
the tourmaline I have is also called indicolite for indigo which is
the dark blue dye and ink from last centuries'
if you call it indicolite, it is worth more
just calling it blue tourmaline makes it less valuable. indicolite can
have some green in it. all tourmaline skews at least 2 colors, one on
each axis (different colors when looked at from different angles). most
indicolite will have perceptible green on the opposing axis.
the stone you have now is pretty big
a 6 mm is pretty small and best for the pinky
btw
