(note: for those of you too stupid to tell the difference, this is
merely a piece of SPECULATIVE FICTION, in the form of a FLAME.)
Alternate title: _Why It Pays To Take Flame Wars to Alt.Flame_:
=================================
Dateline: January 9, 2008, 7:30 PM
The scene: a dingy run down beige-ish (hard to tell, the Sears vinyl
siding hasn't been touched in 20-some years and is now rather crackly
to say the least) bungalow in semi-rural San Diego County. A couple
rotting Ford pickups propped up on cinder blocks in the side
yard/alley. The bumper sticker "These Colors Don't Bleed!!" can be
seen on the rear of one of the dead trucks.
A couple of mangy stray dogs scramble through the neighborhood. In
the distance one can hear the muffled sounds of cumbia music (most
likely Los Angeles de Charly) from a car parked down the street with
its lights off. A distant whiff of marihuana accompanies the music.
Meanwhile, inside the bungalow, a phone rings. A portly, pathetic
figure grabs the early-90's-model cordless receiver.
"Hello?"
"Hello, may I speak to a Bill Hughes?"

Actually, chances that the Supreme Court will rule this spring that
the Second Amendment is an individual right are very good.
Where will that leave you gun grabbers?

The NO police took guns from people who were trying to
protect their homes.
> That's what we pay the police for. Protection from lunatics like you.
Neighbor across the street was watching teevee with
his wife and had a massive heart attack and died.
It took the paramedics and fire department eleven
minutes to get to the house. Eleven minutes.
If a burglar broke into your home, would you grab
a phone, dial 9-1-1 and die, or would you repel the
invasion?
