That's a very interesting article. l loved the subtext in Xena. I
would not want it to be main text in a movie. Anything main text
would be boring compared with the intrigue of wondering about the
subtext.

Good article. And I have to agree with Steven Sears. If a movie was made that was a
continuation of the series, it wouldn't be the same if they were swapping spit every few scenes.
Also Liz Friedman...

David...how far would Lucy and Renee? Well $ talks...bullshit walks. The
old saying isn't it.
For the last few years I've been writing fantasy stories about the two.
Xena and Gabrielle in a lesbian trist. But I wrote a twist. Some sees
Xena(because of her muscular build). She's a shemale if you would. I
wrote many stories...Xena has both male and female organs. Xena uses her
male penis..to penatrate Gabrielle.
David...if you like I can forward one of the stories to you...to see if
you like it. But they're all sexually graphic.
Early last year I forward couple stories to Charis..she like them. I
couldn't believe she did.
So let me know if you like me to forward one to you.

Maintext subtext....who cares as long as we get the movie!!!!
Of course, I doubt that will ever happen, at least with these actresses in
the leads (and without them, again, who cares).

We have to remember that a large portion of the audience watched Xena for
the action - kids, hetero males. While the lesbian audience was very large
and devoted, TPTB knew that they had to walk a fine line and try to please
everyone, and so did not want to do anything too overt to alienate any
portion of their audience. I think the same would be true for a movie. And
as I think about the fan fiction that I like to read, although I do
definitely prefer stories that acknowledge the "truth" of their
relationship, the ones I like best are those with a good plot, not
necessarily those that just throw a lot of sex scenes at the reader.

I don't think that would be an issue for either of them. They are
professional actresses - they have to do love scenes with "strangers"
(albeit usually males) all the time. I don't think it would be...

tango.(Not by my book..lol) You know how old Woody Allen is?
He's in his 70's.
What is TPTB?(You mean Rob Tapert...or Sam Raimi)? Do you think Sam and
Ted looks alike?
