Talk about lousy timing - for both Joxer and the writers who decided to do
it at this point, when we can get absolutely NO response from Gabrielle.
This is a big deal for Joxer, and something that he has been building up to
for several seasons, and then it just becomes nothing. I was very
disappointed that it was handled this way.

His reason was that he wanted to tell her just in case she died again. It could/should have
been done earlier, but I guess he was desperate to tell her and he feared it might be now or never.
I still don't think it should have been such a surprise to her.

I agree. This is a big continuity problem This is one of the things
that I hoped they would fix in a movie. They could come up with a
plot point that requires them to split the chakram back into two
pieces... maybe because they need to kill a 'god' with the light
chakram. They could come apart with the dark chakram broken again...
or it could be whole and both X/G would have a chakram to use during
the movie and one could get broken again.

Not that I think there is going to be a movie... but it's an idea.
