Both were great performers, but I'm not sure how much writing, if any,
either did. Not everybody that's received the honor has been a
performer, but they've all been writers.

Lucy has the added disadvantage of being dead. Carlin is the only one
they've honored posthumously, and they didn't plan it that way.

Bozo was on Last Comic Standing, I just can't say for sure which clown he was.

That's the thing about clown makeup. You can't match the face with
his sexual predator registration picture.

There is a long list of creative talent who has slammed their
recent employers for whom they worked. Conan wasn't the
first and he certainly won't be the last.

You could fill Yankee stadium 10 times over with disgruntled
talent who slammed former employers.

How exactly is this slamming O'Brien? He's simply saying no other
network would've allowed Conan the freedom to say what he said during
those final couple weeks of the show. And he's right. From Conan to
SNL to 30 Rock, NBC has shown a lot of tolerance when it comes to them
being attacked by their own shows.

Have Letterman and Leno in the crowd throwing
shoe's too!
Olbermann and McHale already did it.
"That really hurt! I'm gonna have a lump there, you idiot! Who throws a
shoe? Honestly! You fight like a woman!"

JC: I have to be quicker then. Thanks.
