Oh YEAHHH! Bill Conrad was one of the hardest working actors in
Hollywood at the time and finally got his own series, after being
unceremoniously dumped as the radio version of Matt Dillon from the
pre-TV "Gunsmoke", for fitter, taller Jim Arness when that series went
to the small screen.

Big Bill guest-starred on a lot of series, before his break as Cannon.
This was a great show and its just fab they finally have the first DVD
out! Of course, he later starred in a show called "Jake and the
Fatman".

I used to love during every episode when Cannon (wearing hard cop
shoes) would be chasing some 20 year old punk in sneakers on wet grass
or gravel, and the perp would have about a 50 foot lead on Cannon but
Cannon would always catch him in like ten seconds.

In the physically challenged category, you forgot to mention Barnaby
Jones, elderly; the only way he could stop a criminal was by wheezing
on him. I think Barnaby Jones helped create the TV show genre of "Old
People Who Solve Crimes"; the genre was pretty much run into the
ground by Murder, She Wrote and Matlock, along with the Perry Mason
MFTVM's that Raymond Burr did during the last ten years of his life.
