TRF's very own Chas Floyd Johnson will be hosting a luncheon as part of
this year's NCIS Fest. Perhaps Johnson could be persuaded to discuss his
memories of The Rockford Files, too!

The "NCIS" production plans to attend our Fan Fest on Saturday afternoon.
Executive Producer Chas. Floyd Johnson will host a luncheon that day at
the Beverly Garland, where the Fan Fest is being held, to be followed by
an afternoon of filmed greetings from the cast and crew in the hotel's
beautiful theater. In addition, there will be "behind-the-scenes" footage
prepared especially for those attending.

Just curious if there has ever been a Rockford Files fanfest?

While, unfortunately, many of the primary actors and popular
guest stars have passed on, I suspect there would still be a
sufficient number of TRF regulars to draw quite a lot of interest! In
addition to the many actors and actresses, I would be most interested
in speaking with some of the writers for the series.

I'm not aware of any Rockford-centric Fests ever having taken place.

I recall that some of the on-line TRF fans were discussing meeting at the
Paradise Cove Cafe / Sandcastle on Sept 15, 2001, but the tragic events of
that week apparently prevented that plan from being carried out.

At least, I've never heard if any fans followed through on the gathering.
