Curious programming choice, putting "Marlowe" and "Americanization"
overnight. I recorded a few of the movies.

I rewatched it. Garner generally has good things to say about directors
he's worked with and is quite critical of his early movies.
Unfortunately a popular actor with a long career can't do justice to his
professional life in so little time.
I liked Garner's attitude when he emphasized that these were his
impressions and that he could be wrong and no one should take them too
seriously. The man does not have a swelled head.
Say, did someone mention that one of the Encore movie channels is doing
second run of "Maverick" and "Bret Maverick"? Too bad they haven't
discovered "Nichols" but perhaps they will later.
