Is Sean Connery very over-rated mostly because people remember his James
Bond movies with a lot of affection??
Has he ever won an Oscar?

Yes, and a BUNCH of other awards too:

What have you got against Sir Sean Connery? (Yes, one of his awards was
a Knighthood).

"Jeff DeWitt" <> What have you got against Sir Sean Connery?>
Nothing. Except that I honestly cannot think of any movie that he has done
which is great. The only thing I have ever seen by Connery which I have
wanted to see again are the James Bond movies. The only Sean Connery movies
that I have ever seen twice are The Untouchables and Outland.
Remember Shalako? Darbie O'Gill and the Little People? Connery was a
Wonderful World of Disney TV series actor for a couple of years (that should
tell you how bad he sucks).
Look at this list of shit movies:

OK, just out of curiousity. Besides Outland and The Untouchables, and the
James Bond movies; what do you think are his greatest films?
Out of about 70 movies, he has about 9 (including the Bond films) that are
very good. That is not bad. However, he has been involved in a lot of very
awful films.
These are the ones that I think are just plain horrid:

I don't know about his "greatest films", I'm not a film critic, I just
know when I like a movie.
I like the Bond movies, even though some of them aren't exactly great.
Indy III was a wonderful movie, and I prefer "A Night To Remember" to
"Titanic", and there is some other really good stuff in that list.
I don't even know if Connery is really a great actor, (nor do I care)
what I DO know is I like him as a actor and his presence in a movie adds
to it... even if the part seems kind of goofy like his part in "Highlander".

Except for Kirk Douglas, the rest of them sucked ass as actors.

That's was almost quality how you managed to contradict yourself in the
very next sentence:
> The only Sean Connery movies
> that I have ever seen twice are The Untouchables and Outland.
So, the only movies you ever wanted to see again were the James Bon
movies, yet you went and saw The Untouchables and Outland twice,
despite them not being James Bond movies...?
What are you, 12?
That being said, of the list of movies provided, he was also excellent
and enjoyable in:
> Rising Sun (1993) .... Capt. John Connor
> The Hunt for Red October (1990) .... Captain Marko Ramius
> Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) .... Professor Henry Jones
> Name der Rose, Der (1986) .... William of Baskerville
